Knights of Columbus # 6770 (Assumption Centre) community breakfast supporting CVRC, Oct. 14, 9am-1pm.

Dear community partners and friends of Crescent Valley:

On October 14 the Knights of Columbus # 6770 will be hosting their monthly community breakfast in support of the Crescent Valley Resource Centre.  A generous and delicious breakfast is served from 9am – 1pm. The cost is $7.00 per adult and $3.00 per child.

The breakfast will be held at the Assumption Centre, 721 Chapel St. West. For anyone not familiar with the west side of the city or the Assumption Centre, here is a map link – http://goo.gl/maps/krduq

 

The Knights of Columbus have been holding this monthly event for thirty years. They support various community causes through funds raised at the breakfast.

Book Drive at St.Malachy’s High School Learning Commons

The new Library Learning Commons at St.Malachy’s Memorial High is hoping to grow its Fiction and Pleasure Reading section by adding books written and published in the last 10 years.

If you have books sitting at home that you would be willing to donate please call Michael Whelton at 658-2404.

We will be having a homeroom competition to bring in the most books starting next Friday! We would love donations from our community.

What is P.R.O. Kids?
P.R.O. Kids is a non-profit program that matches children and youth up to (and including) the age of 18 with organized, registered recreation activities. P.R.O. Kids is a proactive and confidential service offered to all children and youth in Saint John, Quispamsis, Grand Bay-Westfield and Rothesay. All administration costs are covered by the municipalities, allowing 100% of the funds received through donations, grants and fundraisers to go directly to the children and youth of our community. 

2013 Objective: 
To provide assistance to 1313 children and youth by removing financial barriers for participation in sports, arts, recreation or cultural activities of their choice.
